Doodlings

Well, I'm not quiet ready to spread the joy of art just yet.
Perhaps I can humor you instead.

Here's my husband stuffing his face.

I was so inspired after walking through the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in NY that it rejuvenated my love for art of all kinds. I realized that art is not something to criticize, (unless of course it is intentionally offensive but not to worry, none of what I do is meant to be offensive. But if it does, than that's for you to deal with) but it's just another form of communication that may or may not be understood by the receiver. To me, wonderful art is one that evokes a feeling, memory or just inspires. My favorite kind of art has some kind of whimsical humor, or its something that when I look at it, it reminds me of the time I was wishing for love, or it takes me away to a world of hope.

Van Gogh's Starry Night reminds me of my careless days of sixth grade. That was the height of my creative energy. This picture was taken at MoMA. Probably one of the most popular paintings among the patrons. The swirls in the sky was what inspired the swirls on my tattoo. I didn't want to get a replica so just asked the artist to swirl it his way. I might go back and re-edit it when I have enough dough to touch it up.

Smile! You're at the Mona Pizza.  This was a painting on the building of our favorite pizza spot in NY, Lombardi's. If we ever go back to NY, we will be sure to re-visit this place. Art that inspires and is delicious, that is what I like.
